Last Saturday I attended The Baby Show in London Olympia. I have never attended one of the 3 huge Baby Shows and wanted to go take a look before I have my own stand at the NEC show next year...more about this later!

The Baby Show

I rocked up as the doors opened which was great as I could have a good chat with a few stand holders before it got really busy. I was interested in the small businesses who can get a little bit overlooked next to the massive stands of the big brands. Here are the ones that stood out on the day....

Moccis

moccis

The lovely ladies on the Moccis stall were so friendly and and told me all about their fab products that are all hand made in Sweden. These have gone on my Christmas list! www.moccis.co.uk

Kneepal

knee pal

These waterproof polyurethane kneeling pads are designed to cushion your knees and support your back while kneeling. Despite no longer having little ones that need me to kneel next to them when they're in the bath I still wanted to give one a try....they didn't disappoint. They were so comfortable to kneel on! These are on the shopping list for both Grandma’s for the gardening! www.kneepal.co.uk

Fletcher & Mils

The whole of the back wall of the Fletcher and Mils stand was lined with these giant rulers. I loved them and would have loved to walk away with one to capture the growth of my little ones. www.fletcherandmils.com

Moor Baby

The lady behind Moor baby had literally just launched her business the day before. She lives on a farm in Cornwall and keeps Alpacas. All of her products are handmade from their fleece. The jumpers, hats and blankets are the softest things I have ever felt!  www.moorbaby.co.uk

Tickle Tots

The Tickle tots stand looked absolutely brilliant. Such a simple concept using painted crates and it worked so well for them.  They had some lovely designs of reusable nappies too. www.tickle-tots.com

Lilith Loves Henry

I have met the ladies behind Lilith Loves Henry a couple of times now at smaller Baby Shows. Their stand looked fantastic and they were flat out all day long! They have amazing colourful teething jewellery and teething toys tested to the highest standard. lilithloveshenry.co.uk

Ekatot

Ekatot

The husband and Wife team behind Ekatot are bringing true Finnish baby boxes to the UK. Laura is Finnish and many of the products in the box are the same as those actually given to new parents in Finland. The box is full of newborn essentials along with a mattress and bedding for use as baby's first bed. www.ekatot.co.uk

Annabel Karmel

Whilst I was at The Baby Show I managed to have a chat with Annabel Karmel and the lovely Tam from Lily Pots and author of Becoming Dad! I was really thrilled to hear that Annabel follows Nom Nom Kids on Instagram and that she herself manages her own account so it really is her following me!!

If you do go to any of the big Baby Shows. Make sure you stop to chat to all the small stands. They have all paid a lot of money to be there and they are all hoping that their presence at The Baby Show will help them grow and become better known.

The small business owners will have often begged friends to help (I know I will be) and have probably worked their bottoms off when the kids are fast asleep to get everything ready for the show....not to mention borrowed off their dads or their credit cards for this opportunity!

If you find yourself at the NEC Baby Show please come by to see me. I will make sure that our stand looks fantastic and they'll be a little treat for everyone!
