We love chocolate at Christmas but not when it comes with so much waste.

Take these 2 popular sets from Cadbury's:

🎄The £2-£2.50 set holds 145g of chocolate and comes in a cardboard box with a plastic tray and 6 individual wrappers.

🎄The £1 set is wrapped in a plastic bag and contains 89g of chocolate, there’s a tray and 5 individual wrappers.

All that packaging goes straight into the bin and really isn’t needed. It can all be recycled now with the new flexible plastics recycling scheme but that’s a lot of waste to recycle if it makes it make it that far.

Just think of the hundred's of thousands of these sets that get sold every Christmas!

♻️Want to do it greener? Go to your local traditional sweet shop or local refill store and buy 100g or so of chocolates without wrappers and pop them into a reusable bag, box, glass jar or Christmas themes paper bag.

Not got anywhere close by? You could still buy paper wrapped sweets or foil wrapped sweets instead and encourage recycling.

Our monster snack bags are perfect for filling with treats and can be reused over and over again.
