How to hull Strawberries....the genius way!

I only discovered this a few weeks ago when my 10 year old niece Keira showed us how to do it. She had been browsing pinterest, found this method and thought it looked really cool.  She got my sister to buy a large punnet of strawberries to bring to one of our get togethers at Nanny and Grandad's house and we all thought it was genius.

All you need is a straw.  

Pop the straw up through the tip of the strawberry towards the leaves and hey presto out pops the top! 

I am totally converted to this method of hulling strawberries now. It's so easy and the kids can do it too....although Nancy's aim could do with some work!

Nancy likes to eat as she goes along so not many strawberries got left for a smoothie today.... she just ended up threading lots onto straws and eating them all up!
