Welcome to National Zero Waste week which is now in it’s 7th year!

The aim of Zero Waste Week is to encourage everyone to reduce landfill and rethink waste. We generate about 177 million tonnes of waste every year in England alone. This poor use of resources costs businesses and households money and causes environmental damage that could be avoided.

It’s not too late to join in with Zero Waste Week and do “one more thing” to help reduce the volume of waste going to landfill. Give something a go this week and maybe you will find it easier than you thought....maybe you could even keep it up for ever?

There’s lots you can do.... avoid pre-packaged products, buy re-usable products, up-cycle, recycle or re-use.

Take a look at the Zero Waste Week website for lots of ideas and share our blog posts this week to spread the word.

If everyone makes a little effort this week we could see a massive change in the amount of waste we produce.
