When Stanley was weaning he really enjoyed strong flavours and his favourite meal was a chicken curry that I used to make. I was a little nervous about using too many spices as I wasn't sure what might be too much for his little tummy so we didn't experiment much further.

We discovered the Easy Indian Super Meals book by Zainab Jagot Ahmed last year and we have made quite a few of the recipes which have all got the thumbs up from my two.  I really wish that this book had been around when I was weaning as Zainab explains which spices are safe to use in baby foods and how to safely introduce them.  The recipes are fantastic and suitable from 7 months onwards.

I am very excited to be able to GIVEAWAY 2 of these amazing books along with 2 packs of our reusable food pouches.

All about the book

Zainab Jagot Ahmed is an exciting new voice in parenting offering a fresh perspective on weaning and how to encourage all children to love their food. In the updated version of her award-winning Easy Indian SuperMeals, Zainab takes flavour-inspiration from Indian home-cooking, combining ingredients naturally full of goodness - ‘Super Foods’ - with ingredients naturally packed with flavour - ‘Super Spices’ - to create simple, super-delicious recipes suitable for children from 7 months old.

After the birth of her daughter Zainab was inspired to create nutrient-rich tasty meals for her baby both to broaden her daughter’s palate and to introduce her to her culinary heritage as early as possible. Following the success of her daughter’s weaning journey she went on to create recipes for older children and families. It is a cookbook that will help you introduce aromatic spices into your child’s diet to give them tasty meals that they’ll love to eat with lots of nutrients, and get them ready for a smooth transition into family meals. With weekly meal plans, and ideas for each stage of child’s development, this really is the ultimate cookbook for mothers of young children.
