These are some of our favourite smoothies to help add a few extra nutrients into our day. These are really tasty and suitable for 9 months to 109.

Feel free to add little extras like Chia seeds, Flax or Hemp seeds to add extra protein and Omega 3's. There's always room to add a little spinach and avocado too even if the ingredients don't list them.

The fun of smoothies is that you can add all sorts so use these as a guide and see what you can develop yourself.

The instructions are the same for all: Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth.

Each recipe will make approximately 3 servings in our 140ml pouches or 2 servings in our 200ml pouches.

Super Red Smoothie

I love using beetroot in smoothies. The colour is just amazing and it's so healthy and full antioxidants. You can taste it's earthy flavour in this smoothie but it's not overpowering so it's great for kids. This recipe is also low in sugars and could also handle a few spinach leaves thrown in if you fancy!

Orange, Mango and Pineapple smoothie

This recipe was loosely copied from an Innocent Smoothie but I found it lacking in actual blended fruit so we now make our own version. I have also added avocado to provide some extra healthy fats.

Strawberry, Mango and Carrot Smoothie

This is a really simple smoothie but It's delicious and we love the colour! I use a nutribullet to blend my smoothies but if you are using a less powerful blender it may be wise to grate the carrot first.
